So I made it to the Drs office tonight and will have results in the morning. The NP said that nothing is impossible, but with my pathology, report of which she re examined, it would be very rare, and it's likely a mistake. Needless to say, I won't feel good until and unless a retest confirms it.
She sent the sample to the Mount SInai Hospital lab (wher my surgeon is chief of urology), so I'll getvresults when I go back tomorrow morning for my appointment.
I relooked at the pathology report, asked them for the full report. Neg margins, 3+4, no ECE, neg LN (9 taken), and only 5% of prostate involved by tumor. There was no mention of how much of the (3+4) was grade 4. When I asked about
that she told me they don't bother putting that on the report unless it's a significant amount of grade 4.
So how is it even possible if I was undetectable 3 months ago, and 3.38 now??
I did note the 3+4), was at the apex, which is where I had a positive INTRA OPERATIVE Margin, so he cut more and got negative final margin. That tumor was 1.1 cm.
Still, I'm confused. I wonder if someone typed in the 3.38 wrong and it's really .338. But that would be really bad too, it's also a big jump. But I can't think of any other explanation
Sorry, in a panic, and I'm rambling. All I can do is drop a Xanax (hate doing that) and wait till tomorrow.
