I don't think there is a large enough sample size on the beer and doughnut diet....i will join your study in hopes of finding definitive data

We all know guys who drink heavily AND eat garbage AND smoke AND never exercise and do not have PCa .... so perhaps they are either lucky or _______ ?

Yup, its true. A lot of people are prepared to die than suffer with proper diet and exercise.

I think free radicles contribute to prostate cancer as well as various other ailments. Anti-oxidents is required in everyone...more so anyone who does a lot of cardio. the binary system is a real beech, but it keeps us breathing...

I believe but cant prove it now that my PSA was elevated because of prostatitis:
1. It had been slowly rising to ~5 by the spring of 2014 when it began to take off and by June it was ~9 . My urologist thought it might be an infection so he prescribed Cipro for 30 days. It had no effect, so I had 20 core biopsy and found 1 cancer. The pathologist noted evidence of prostatitis.

2. When I went to UFPTI in September for gold markers and consultation I had another PSA and it was up to 11.2.

3. When I was preparing for my seminal vesicle biopsy at Duke in October, I was checked to see if Cipro would be an acceptable antibiotic for the procedure. The found bacteria resistant to Cipro. Another antibiotic was used.

4. After my proton treatment at UFPTI was completed they took another PSA. I was warned that it probably would go up since 8 weeks of radiation to the prostate often does that. Not to everyone, but many. I should not worry about it if it goes up, they said. I dropped to ~6, almost a 50% drop.

5. I believe after the antibiotic at Duke my prostatitis was checked and my PSA fell to the level it had been just before my cancer diagnosis, around 4 or 5. Maybe they were right after all and I went up a little after proton.

It seems to me that the merry band of men on this board have already passed the possibility of not getting pc if they exercise. I'm not sure if this means we would be big winners or losers in Las Vegas.

So drink your beer, eat your doughnuts, and if you want to really impress, exercise on the days you work.
