Hi Pratoman -- First time I've gotten on HealingWell in many moons, saw your name, just want to say Hello!
I know we each had our surgery about
the same time -- early to mid-January 2015. Kind of hard to believe one year has passed so fast. Before I was young and impetuous, thought I'd live forever. Now I appreciate things more, and I'm more grateful for everything. And I'm seeing my "machine" better -- if I'm not alert
and relaxed at the same time, easy to get caught up in my thoughts. Slow down, take a deep breath, I'm definitely a worrier (or rather my behavior is a worrier). What's me? And what's learned behavior? Fascinating subject.
I sometimes have dreams that are so strong when I wake up it takes me some minutes at least to get myself oriented to THIS is reality and the other was just a dream. But in a way it feels that everything is real -- maybe providing a hint about
something ... maybe a thought we are suppressing ... the thought has to go someplace ... I pushed the thought down and it pops up in my dreams. Sort of a pressure relief valve. I feel my dreams keep me in balance -- a place for the unthinkable to have their expression without real life consequences.
My continence is doing better now that I'm seeing a connection between what I eat, and what I don't eat, and my urgency. Consuming fruit definitely irritates my bladder. My JHopkins prostate surgeon wanted to send a tube up my uretha to check for obstructions but I called that off 2-3 months ago saying I want some months to experiment with dietary change. If dietary change doesn't work then I'll say OK to the diagnostic tube and camera up the uretha procedure.
Hope you are doing well, Pratoman.
Best,
Bill Positive

Glad to hear you are doing well Bill. Yup, hard to believe its almost a year. Life goes on. Dreams are a double edge sword.
Like you, I'm thankful for what i have, rather than disappointed about
whats been taken from me.
