Not sure what does the squeezing exactly, but I can testify that it is definitely still there after RP. My orgasms feel much the same as they did before RP, though no semen output of course. I do squirt some urine during orgasm, though I'm told that has a decent chance of going away over time.
You are lucky that your orgasms feel much the same, although maybe some of us are just unlucky. Last orgasm that felt worth having- if not downright unpleasant- for me was about
22 months ago, a few days before surgery. I think the prostate itself does at least some of the squeezing, as well as providing at least some of the pleasurable sensation. Or at least so I have read.
As for those sphincters, I believe the male has 2. As in this picture:

I think this one is of the involuntary type, so we never have to think about
it. It also does not normally
open in response to sexual activity, but stays closed to keep urine in and keep semen moving in the right direction, rather than back up into the bladder.
The so called external sphincter(it's still inside us, isn't it? So why external? I would think distal would be a better term) relaxes during sex to allow semen an escape. It is the one we voluntarily snap closed if we need to quickly stop urinating. I've never quite understood how we manage to get this thing trained to both act as a voluntary shut off(as it always has) AND involuntary, to stay closed and hold urine inside even when we don't think about
it. But apparently it is capable of this dual role, at least sometimes. But I can say that, even almost 2 years out, even a brief sexual thought while standing, even right after emptying the bladder, will result in a need for a quick voluntary clamp down, with a few drops escaping despite best efforts. I doubt this thing is ever going to work anywhere near the original factory model, though it may work well enough to not volunteer for more surgery. Well enough urinary wise at least.
