Thomas - There are a number of guys here with implants that seem to have had good success with them. I'm sure they will be along shortly with some insight for you.
Have you tried the injections? It seems there are also many that have had success injecting too. If you haven't tried it I think that's normally the next step before an implant.

Thank you Graytech, I am not sure I am ok with injection since I am not a big fan of needle. I am kind of scare of it. I am afraid that my libodo will be down when I see the needle. I got so much problem with Viagra, Cialis and Levitra now.
I just want to hear some experiences from the real person who got implanted not from the commercial ad on line.

Thomas - put the words "penile implant" in the search bar. PDA has written extensively about
his experience.

Hi there Thomas,
"Real Person" here with an implant. I'll try to answer your questions.
But first, you really ought to talk to your doctor about
injections. For a lot of guys they are a good option. Most of the guys who inject on this forum use a combination of drugs called "trimix" that works well and is one of the least expensive ED treatments into the bargain. As far as I know none of our injection users actually
like
the idea of sticking needles in their Johnsons but, here's the wonderful thing: it doesn't matter. You don't have to be in the mood for trimix to work and a decent erection is its own turn-on. I injected for three years but eventually got the implant because, with my venous leak, the injections didn't work quite well enough.
I have an AMS 700 CX three piece inflatable penile implant. It seems to work fine. I can pump it up and deflate it using the squeezy bulb in my left hemi-scrotum (left ball sack). It gives me a fairly natural erection with good sensitivity. When it is deflated the pump and the hard rubber parts of the cylinders make for a rather lumpy "package" but when I pump it up things seem more natural. It's not a perfect solution but it is usable and incomparably better than nothing.

Hi Peter, thank you for your information, I am glad that someone like you sharing your experiences. I heard that too much injection it will develop scar tissue on your penis and then it will affect it when you have penile implant. Since I am still young and horny so I would like have about
twice intercourse per week :o).
Another thing I would like to ask is do you feel pain about
the device when it is in use?

Good morning thomas
I have successfully used bimix injections for 8 years. I was
open to an implant, but have never needed it.
Check out some of the post operative pain and infection stories from implant patients. Most say they are happy with the result, but would not like to repeat the problems getting there.
If pain and complications are your concern, you should first try injections before the surgery for an implant.

THanks lifeguyd I am still very concern about
the trimix or bimix. I think my personal is just having a nervous about
the needle. But I might end up trying it to see how it works to me at least once.

Thomas,
We have members who have injected and then gone on to develop Peyronie's Disease (PD) and some of them are convinced that there is a causal relationship -- ie., that injection
caused
their PD. Peyronie's disease is caused by hard "plaques" that develop in the wall of the erection chambers (the "tunica albuginiea") that cause a painful bending in the erect penis. Maybe injections can cause it... For some guys... but, on the other hand men who have had prostate surgery are prone to PD and, of all the men here who have used injections only a few have developed PD. Add to that the fact that doctors who specialize in PD sometimes use injections to diagnose and/or treat PD and I find myself dubious of the link.
As to the discomfort of the injection, here's what I often recommend to men who are nervous about
trying trimix: As you read this grab your earlobe and pinch it rather hard. Be careful of the fingernails but squeeze until it is decidedly uncomfortable... Finished? Good. You have just endured more self-administered pain than you will experience injecting your organ with trimix. If you can do the one you can do the other.

I was implanted 1/11/11 with the AMS 700 LGX which expands both length and girth. I am very satisfied with my implant. You will find lots of help on the implant forum on the FrankTalk website.

Hi knotreel, thank you for your info, I will check Franktalk site. So you mean the implant increased both length and grith? I heard that it make the penis shorter at always. Where did you got the implant?

my implant was done at the Houston medical complex by Dr. Larry Lipshultz of Baylor. I highly recommend him. about
the length issue. I meant that during inflation it expands in girth and length. Only the AMS 700 LGX ( to my knowledge) expands in length. All others expand in just girth, meaning that in flaccid state they will be basically the same length as inflated. If Peter has the "CX" model, then his will only expand in girth. Sometimes there is some confusion about
which model you have as sometimes the pump which is a "CX" gets confused with the model name? Anyway, I didn't loose any length. But this was in large part due to following the Dr's. advice to inflate daily to the max and work up to keeping it inflated for and hour. Basically a gradual stretching of your member which by now has shrunk due to no erections for an extended period of time, at least mine was. Those that follow this advise usually end up more happy later on. Also there are plenty of people that do implants but not that many can get the length right apparently. Reading franktalk you will hear a lot about
disasters in bad length choices, too long is really bad and too short you have the ole "floppy head" issue. So get some actual feed back on the doctor you choose. Dr. Larry is a uro specializing in men's reproductive issues.,

Thomas, I also had the AMS700 LGX. I developed Peyronie's after prostatectomy, which the implant has completely corrected. I also recommend it, although I would recommend you try the injections first and see whether they address your problem or not.

Hi Thomas,
my husband reluctantly tried trimix, then bimix. It worked extremely well, and he enjoyed the sex, but he hated doing the injection. I've heard many positive comments here about
trimix. It seems a much simpler solution than an implant surgery.

Thank you Sophie, that is what I am about
, I hate doing the injection, the pills work on and off it is depends on the physical condition, I am still young 44 years old but sometime it is seem not working specially if I take the pill when the stomach is full, absolutely no work for me. And then all side effect like aching body, block nose, headache, bright lights..... it is too much problem for one fun so that is why I am thinking about
the implant.

I can't say, maybe some injection guys can comment, but with you only being 44 and looking at many years of injections ahead (if you go that way ) would make the implant worth considering. There are many plus and minuses for sure but the implant is very reliable and doesn't need any needles, vials etc, not to mention the fear of Peyronie's. I don't know about
other people, but for me, bad erection experiences took away my desire to even try.

Hi:
There is a reason why we suggest the injections first, surgery is a big step, don't think for a moment that because most had a successful surgery, everyone does, I had an infection and only because I new the signs well, I was able to contained it at the beginning. Also the healing from surgery is 3 months. To train yourself to deflate is the most common issue.
You can use the self-injector, I know some do, thus avoiding some of the needle fears you have.
If you fallow the injection procedures, your chances of scaring decrease. Find a doctor who does frequent surgeries.
Good luck to you.

Yes knotreel, that is exactly what I think, I am only 44 now and how long I can last for the injection and some said it might cause Peyronie too. I know the surgery always has percention of failure but still I am hoping I might not the one.
Thanks guys, I am more less feel what way now.

Thomas...
I haven't seen a mention of a VED ( pump ).....
It would address your reluctance of needles, and just might be all you need...
Good luck...
Amazon sells them.....buy a good one..don't go cheap !
