Seems we missed adding this....so here it goes.
Looking to hear some good numbers, could use some good cheer from others right now!!!
My results, went today for Taxotere treatment 4 of 6 and blood results were:
The CBC and other blood tests were good. Alk Phosphate dropped from 480 to 370.
My White blood Cell count is staying good. Hemoblobin and Hematocrit rose and while still below normal, highest it been since started testing
Red blood cell count is in normal range for first time since i started this journey in May.
PSA, just got a call, it dropped, just not near as much as I wanted.
Went from 18 to 14. Its a drop, so I'll take it, just was wanting and expecting more.
but all went good, and overall good results.

J,
That's really great news! Did you read Shaba Doug's thread about
chemo? You may just get in the zeros too! After starting at 5620, wouldn't that be a kick!
Gary's didn't go the right direction. He's over a thousand now. So one more round of chemo Thurs and then back on xtandi today. Praying it works quickly and for a long time, as this is the last tx that is on the front burner.

Thanks so much for the encouragement... Beth I've been praying for Gary, I know the Xtandi will work for him. Just have him keep thinking about
that Alaskan cruise! So much easier when you have goals. He's obviously a fighter!
Sue...thanks for the nice words about
the blog. It really is a great release for me and a way to reach people in a positive way!

Hello JPENN ~
Thankful, very THANKFUL, to hear the news of another lowered PSA score for you --- you are battling right through your series of treatments --- you've got the Taxotere doing its important work right now --- you are seeing the impact of the "early chemo plan" in action, first-hand ...
You've seen the PSA going down, down, down with each Taxotere treatment ... when I was at this stage in the same series of chemo treatments just a few months ago, my doctor reminded me to stay the course, and reminded me that the chemo had its hardest work yet to do ... with the last few treatments still left to go.
Getting to the halfway mark is always an important milestone for any of us that undergo a series of treatments ... you are now already past the halfway point ... the "fifty yard line" is already behind you, so to speak ... and that's where you NOW will begin to see the "field goal line" ... it's looming on the horizon for you ... it's really in sight, isn't it ?
It DOES take some courage and confidence to start a series of chemo treatments ... there are some worries and anxieties, getting started ... with your input, and with input from MANY others, it's been great to pull together our collective experiences on some recent threads about
chemotherapy treatments ... in the interest of helping our "other brothers", present and future ...
Meanwhile --- you have my unwavering support and daily prayers, as your treatments continue.
Your fellow "chemo comrade" ---

Folks - my PSA went from 3.35 in Oct to 3.51 in Nov to 3.78 this week. Does this mean the Zytiga is about
to stop working for me? I go next week to see the onco.
I want to ask opinions here about
Provenge. The PA at my urologist yesterday seemed to think I might want to think about
Provenge now rather than later. I think my onco is going to say chemo is my next stop ( he said that before). Anyway, the PSA is starting to trend upward and I need to make a plan. Do you think Dr Snuffy Myers would see me and have some thoughts on what to do?

Thanks Kirk....
Faustman - I'm not at your point yet, but will get there i'm sure.
Provenge is a great option for many, and many on the board have had some success. Do a search on it to get some ideas.
What I have seen is though it is more effective PRE chemo....so if you are going the Provenge route, do so before doing any chemo. They say you can do it after chemo, just not as effective.

Just met with my MO and the results are good. PSA <.01, T-393. Annual Bone and CT scans clear! He said "cancer free". Not too bad for a T3B, GL9 with all the positive margins etc. Gives me a lot of hope and makes me feel VERY THANKFUL!!!

I'm still getting used to life with Testosterone again ...
My PSA is rising (since I still have a prostate and no longer have Lupron), but not too fast yet and I hope it stabilizes soon. I talk with the Dr in Marina Del Rey next week ... will know more then.
Nov PSA = 0.25 & T = 135 (3 months after coming off of Lupron)
Dec PSA = 0.40 ...
Gives me a pause, but I have a plan to get scanned with either C11 or 68Ga-PSMA (which Tall Allen has mentioned) once I get to 1.5-2.0 PSA; then come up with a plan from there ....
Enjoy the holidays!

I wish to report results of my tests....but that won't be for 5 weeks!!!
So, I'll wait until January test results!
I started my HT vacation on 12/1, so hoping this first round of tests will be fine.

Good news here!
Had surgery on 9/1 and have been progressing since with all the expected stages. This forum has helped so much! Anyway, my visit yesterday with my surgeon was as good as it gets. PSA of <.02 and dry as a bone. I was a 3+4 going in and upgraded to an 8 after. But, the margins were negative, so I've had fingers crossed and obsessed about
the 8 since I first was told. The biopsy showed EPE and b/c of that I joined the PT3 club as the EPE was an automatic PT3 even though the margins were clean. Yeah!

Wow, Dan, you are getting great results from zytiga. Congrats! Please consider adding chemo if you see a rise ( and I hope you don't) prior to xtandi. It does appear to be what worked for Gary this go round. Best wishes for an undetectable 2016!

An undetectable PSA for December, the best Christmas gift we could have hoped for. Best wishes to all for a happy, healthy and undetectable 2016. Love this forum!
