Wow, sounds like you have been through the grinder. Sorry for troubles your have experiences.
Without additional information on your age, health and possible other comorbidities you are in the very low percentile on experiencing complications of robotic surgery. Typically robotic surgery takes 2 to 3 hours, and discharged the next day. Catheter usually is removed between 5 and 10 days depending on your urologist.
I had robotic surgery, into operating at 2:30 pm, out by 4:30 pm, released after eating a large breakfast the next morning. My urologist likes the catheter to stay in for 10 day. I won't say robotic surgery is a walk in the park, it is very complex surgery, but I can say by far recovery is faster with less complications than open surgery.
Sounds like you need to question your surgeon to see why everything took so darn long.
