I forgot to mention a disclaimer regarding pain management. It wasn't until the fourth treatment that I took Advil which helped a lot.
And the symptoms of discomfort went way down after two weeks.
I was a little disappointed regarding the ED issue but will discuss at the follow up what you said, Tall Allen.
I think the tenesmus was the main issue and the Advil helped so I could have been more proactive regarding that. Lol.
Aren't you glad you asked, 0311?

Dr Horwitz at FCCC mentioned all of the potential SEs. I start Flomax one week prior to my first treatment on Feb 17 and I can keep taking it for as long as I want basically. We discussed pain management in my latest consult and I've got prescript
ions for Tylenol w/codeine as a starter, but we matter of factly discussed that based upon his patient feedback for HDB, NSAIDS seem to work best (Advil, Aleve, etc.), probably because they are a mix of good pain relief and anti-inflammatories in one, and since much of the pain is due to inflammation, NSAIDS tend to work well for the acute side effects. We've got a big bottle of prescript
ion 800MG motrin at our house already, so hopefully I've got what I need to weather the short term storm.
