.......went very well yesterday. Seventy-six seeds implanted "perfectly" according to his doctor. Having the catheter removed today and having a CT scan to make sure seeds are placed correctly. SO far we are very pleased. Some soreness/brusing but very little discomfort.

Will let the seeds do their work and in 1 month first PSA test.

Feeling thankful and very optimistic.

Good news. He'll recover fast from the procedure.

Don't they wait for swelling to subside before they do the CT, or will they be doing another one in a month? The seed coverage can look different without the inflammation.

I had a scan the very next morning as well. Tell your hubby that his SEs will be few and very manageable. I will tell you what I tell every Brachy Brother, "walk, walk and walk some more." Every SE that came my way was met with walking which I found to be the cheapest and most effective drug on the market. Please keep us posted on his progress and may his PSA check-ups be everything you hoped and prayed for.

Both you and Ted will be very happy with the choice that you've made. I am now five years out from my 'seeding' and I am thankful every day for my decision. The cancer is gone, and my continence and sex life are as good as ever.
Again, you've made a very wise choice.

Hi Tedswife. I'm also really happy that things are going well. And, I'm also convinced that you guys made a great choice. I'm now 7 1/2 years out with no SE's other than reduced ejaculate - which doesn't alter the "experience". Hope all continues well and please keep us up to date.
