I've lost my old thread on here but thought I would update my progress for anyone in the brachytherapy group.Diagnosed June1,G6,7/9 cores results positive .1 Eli gard hormone injection in July to reduce prostate size for brachy in Oct.
Brachytherapy Oct. 21...have not required followup due to practically ZERO side effects.The Lupron carried the worst side effects.I will see the doctor next month to begin monitoring PSA. Honestly other than a bit of urgency/frequency in the early days I am side effect free. ED completely back to normal if not better.Very happy about my decision.Curious to hear of anyone who has developed side effects later?

Hi Tall, great to hear your excellent update. I expect many more.

Re longer terms SE's, I'm going on 8 years post-Brachy and have zero side effected except for reduced ejaculate. Life is good.

Tallman: July will make 2 years post BT and have no SEs with reduced ejaculate. Always glad to see a fellow LDR brother doing well. Please keep us posted with updates.

My Side Effects improved the longer I'm out.

Trying to recall, but at five months I think I was having painful orgasms. And maybe still some urinary urgency.

Now at 15 months just reduced ejaculate volume.
