You celebrate!
I hope you will ignore these guys who say you are on AS now - you certainly are not. That's for guys who have been diagnosed with favorable risk PC.
What you do now depends on a lot of things- age, size of prostate, evidence of prostatitis, urinary symptoms, race and family history. That may provide clues about the other reasons for your elevated PSA. Depending on those things you may need further meetings with your urologist and possibly treatment for other things, or you may need another PSA test in one or two years (I would switch to a PHI test), or you may never need another test again.

I hope he ignores you...how you like that??? You can have your opinion, and you certainly do know a lot, but your arrogance in this case is uncalled for.
To tell him to check his PSA in a year or two...or never, is reckless and horrible advice. How many people have we seen here that it takes two or three biopsies before finding a g7 cancer? He should have the conversation with his urologist, and he should be proactive, and actively watch (surveillance) his situation. As you asked, without knowing any details, none of us should give him our opinion as fact....
I've always respected your knowledge and opinions Allen, but this post surely rubbed me wrong...maybe it's just my mood this week, but I hate condescending attitudes and that's how it came off.
