8 years and all remains well

My 8 year checkup and I have to say my TFT was a complete success. My PSA was .18 up from last years .16. As my urologist says something will kill you off in the future but it won't be PCa.

Ziggy: Congrats! I always look forward to your posts with the hopes that your treatment represents the future with a less invasive means of beating the beast.

I doubt that any other therapist could make the statement your uro made.

What a long strange trip it's been. Hard to believe it was 8 years ago I was being told I must have a death wish rejecting radical surgery for the all so risky TFT.

Meanwhile you have to hand it to my adopted home state not only do we have the Super Bowl champion, legal marijuana ( I smoked a congratulatory bud of Amnesia Haze instead of drinking champagne), it's the forefront of TFT PCa focal treatment.

Congratulations on the 8-year mark. In June 2008 I was diagnosed and in September 2008 I underwent the da Vinci procedure. Luckily, for these past almost 8-years since surgery ... my PSA results have been 0.00.

Thanks Tony and Dave. Nice to see some of the old timers still check in occasionally. Time does move on and I check in here less and less too. Life is not all good as I have developed an arthritic knee which is a PITA. Oh well I do get to use a handicap cart now playing golf. Plus one of my golf buddies is now talking of a hip replacement after getting a new knee and he's younger than I so things can always be worse, I guess. Bottom line it's a ***** getting old.
