Hello Friends, just got my PSA results, 3 months after my 5 sessions of CK SBRT,which ended March 14th,2016.As my signature reads 2-16-16 PSA was 6.89 (baseline). This first draw was 3.69 on 6-29-16,thats almost half less than baseline.Another CK brother had a baseline of 6.1 PSA.After his first draw PSA was down to 1.9.
I just came back from a 3 week cross country driving vacation with Wife and dog.Got home, the next day had to cut 1 acre of grass on my lawn tractor, its a little bumpy and the following day had my PSA draw. Also had intimacy with my Wife exactly 3 days before the PSA.I will not see my RO till July 12 th.I use a local hospital for lab work and they fax the results to her and they mail me a copy.
Should I be concerned that my PSA was not lower,or is a individual thing as far or where the PSA is at 3 month out ? Could my activities have given me a higher reading than I expected?
Hoping to hear from my CyberKnife,SBRT Brothers.Happy belated 4th,of July.SemperFi

Like everything else PCa, this will vary a lot by individual.
In my case I was very low G9 PSA to begin with and was taking both Lupron and Zytiga. So by the time I actually had the SBRT that ended 10-20-14 and Provenge that ended 11-03-14 my PSA was already @ 0.02 and went undetectable ever since.
Date PSA Testosterone
20140710 <0.04
20140731 0.03 <3
20140812 0.04 8
20140826 0.05 11
20140904 0.02 <6
20141028 < 0.01 <3
20141103 < 0.01 <3
20141231 0.01
20150325 < 0.01 <3
20150427 0.00 <3
20150601 <0.01 <3 thru today with T only at 47 even though on IHT since April 2015.
As long as your PSA slope is downward, no need to be worried IMO.
Are you on Lupron? Comparing your PSA reduction to someone on Lupron is not a valid comparison

Results vary a lot between men and RT of all kinds can be slow.
I wouldn't worry about
it at the moment. I bet your next test will be even lower and that's what you really want - falling numbers.
Lower is better,

Congratulations! Absolutely no need for concern. A drop by half at 3 months is very typical. Slower rates of decline and bumps along the way are actually associated with better outcomes. Guys who have more sex sometimes have more bumps too.

0311, I had SBRT about
the same time as you, ending 3/4. My baseline was 5.66, dropping to 2.38 on 6/15...so I'm on track also. As the others suggest, I doubt any single reading means much.

Thanks Men,I should be a little more careful prior to the PSA draw.No more bumps in the night or day before testing.SemperFi
