it?

I am on the medical trial program combined with Abiratero and Prednison added with a Zoladex injection every 3 months, my tumors are gone and no metastasis confirmed by scans done every 16 weeks. I feel great and do all my activities including daily pool time of one hour, I am glad that I refused radiation treatments, my PSA from 1800 went down to 0.156.
I am enjoying every new day after a very rough time 3 years ago.

I suspect the "Abiratero" is actually "abiraterone" better known as Zytiga..It's one of the newer advanced ADT drugs and it can indeed produce spectacular results in many PC patients..Unfortunately, it does not produce a cure and over time its ability to control the cancer diminishes...You might read up on the new "BAT" treatment that is being developed that may be helpful when the Zytiga falters..

I have been on the Zoladex (3 months) injections since August, 2009 (Age 60-1/2) when diagnosed with PSA 1270, a bone scan that looks like a Christmas tree, and some abdominal lymph node involvement. Started Zytiga (Abiraterone) with Prednisone in November, 2011 which controlled PSA at <1.00 for three years. In 2014, PSA started to rise, doubling every 3 months and in December 2014, switched to Xtandi (Enzalutamide) with good results; PSA immediately reduced from 28 to 0.34 and 30 days later to <0.03 (undetectable) which is where it remains as of last appointment on 12/8/2016. In December, 2014 I also started injections of Xgeva (Denosumab) every 3 months. I have had close to zero side effects from these drugs. Initially, I had some hot flashes with the Zytiga but these subsided within 3-4 months. Initially I had some hot flashes and some fatigue when I started the Xtandi however these subsided within 45 days. Fortunately, I feel great and live life as if I were the most healthy I have ever been. I have lost 60 lbs. in the past 9-months with changes in diet and portion control and expect to lose an additional 30 lbs. in the next six months. I know that at some point the PSA and apparent "good health" will change, but for now, lovin' every day!! Thank you all for sharing your stories! Best wishes!

Thank you ISU-CycloneFan! Yes, I am a very lucky guy to have the success I am having with the drug therapies. All the best to you, your family, and the Band of Brothers here, for the holidays and new year. Talk to you soon.

PSA is still hanging in there at < 0.03 (considered undetectable) as of 3/9/17. I'm a very lucky guy that the Xtandi is working so well for me and that I have two beautiful 2-year-old granddaughters and a third on the way to have so much fun with. Body chemistry can be a blessing or not!! Praying for great results for all of you out there.
