Overtreatment is Alive and Well in SW Florida

I know what you mean about overtreatment in SW FL. I have been an advocate in SW FL for 15 years. I attend a lot of the physicians' dinners. Sometimes it gives me opportunity to build a connection, or insert a comment at the right time. You never know where it can make a difference - I've done it more times than I can count.

I wanted to make sure anyone in FLORIDA knows about the Conference I'm planning for Saturday, March 4th in Punta Gorda. FREE admission for those who cannot afford registration. FREE lunch. Lots of Q&A and Panel Discussion. This will be very focused on -- just helping people.-- Very simple.

50/50 for 10 years ain't quite good enough for me, glad I got treated with surgery, radiation and 1st round chemo. Too bad all that didn't quite get those G4 cancer cells. Now I am Actively Surveiling my PSA reads go up and Watchfully Waiting to go back on the frikkin' chemo. :barf:

That's up there in years to be putting him through radiation (I can't imagine they would want to cut on him) or hormone therapy. What does he want to have happen?

You can also go to a center of excellence like MD Anderson or another where the Docs are salaried and have no financial conflict of interest.
