5 years ago this month I started my RT. It was boring.

Now 5 years later, my PSA is low, ED mild, hemorrhoids manageable and life is good.

The only really odd side effect is a tendency to write poetry and listen to sea shanties.

So far this is just a unplanned journey.

Andrew, I thought of your hemorrhoids when I was looking at the SpaceOAR study. Maybe it would have prevented them. But then how would that have changed your poetry? Mustn't artists suffer for their art?

Andrew, you are a great example of how good things can happen to good people. Here's hoping for another five years of positive outcomes in your health issues, as well as in any other issues that are important to you.

I'm just echoing what the others have said, congratulations, aand more "healing well" good health on the way for you! Isn't it odd as you said, or fate or sumthin? that PC touched your life, now it's gonna be behind you(no pun intended, sorry to hear about the hemorrhoids) But that brought you to this forum ,and to us, and for that we are all the better.
I am enjoying reading your blog, I always enjoy your humor and encouraging words, it always picks me up!

Five years is most impressive--a lot of our organized religions here in Southern California don't last that long. Glad it's gone well for you and glad that you've provided helpful guidance (and wry humor) to so many here in those years!
