The gallbladder removal was elective. PCM highly suggested to have it removed, and that I wouldn't want it to be removed from an emergency room visit. Selected surgeon, two weeks later, done. Stayed overnight, surgery was at 2pm. Room mate was a 92 year old man saying "yea that's it" every few seconds all day and all night long. Felt as if I was being tortured being kept up all night after surgery and watched sun come up.

All PSA's that had a detection were from the VA. After 0.08 went to a private hospital lab and it was <.01
After VA test of .06, again went straight to hospital lab and it was <.01. All the PSA's at first were from my surgeons lab and were <.1. VA changed PSA test, now they show one digit, hospital also changed PSA test to one digit, hospital has used two different labs. Yes anxiety, had consultation from a radiologist at MD Anderson at Cooper. Bottom line, the VA's PSA lab test was highly questionable, and couldn't be substantiated from other labs. In case of a PSA retest, I would pay attention to where the test is done, and not where blood is drawn.
