Should I be worried, again?

My story so far. For several years I have had high PSA levels of between 7 and 8 with an enlarged prostate. My PCP referred me to a urologist and in July 2015 I had a biopsy with negative results. After the biopsy I began talking to this group after there was blood in the semen which scared the bajezuz out of me. The group assured me this was normal and the blood with go away after several weeks, which it did. I continued to have blood test and the levels remained the same. I am now getting blood tests every three months. Yesterday, there was blood in the semen again after over one year with no blood. Would anyone have any idea why this would happen and should I be very concerned. I am planning to see my doctor within the next week. You guys have been great. Thanks for any input you have. Jack. That's a very common symptom of prostatitis, which probably also accounts for your elevated PSA. Prostatitis is often relapsing and remitting, so it will go away and come back occasionally. Sometimes it responds to antibiotics, but usually it doesn't when it's chronic like yours. Good idea to talk to your urologist about it.

Instead of a PSA test next time, ask your urologist to give you a PHI test. It's less sensitive to prostatitis than just a PSA.

could be kidney stone,bladder stone, lots of things. it's not unheard of to have red pee with no known cause

Happened to me once when I was in my 40's. I was totally freaked out. Referred to a urologist by my PCP, and was told it's likely a busted capillary from an extra forceful orgasm. (back in the day, when I had extra forceful orgasms. 😳

Thanks all. I'm going to make an appointment with my PCP soon. Probably going to get an digital exam, blood test, and if necessary, another referral to the urologist. Don't know what all those numbers posted mean. Only know my PSA level is higher than it should be, between 7 and 8. Hopefully, it has not gone up in the last three months. Very nervous though. Jack.
