BPH with frequency. Has anyone had GreenLight procedure in central Florida and would recommend doctor/group? Prefer Gainesville/Ocala, but Orlando/Tampa okay. Many thanks. Please describe side effects. Bruce 28.

No, but my urologist teaches Green Light all over the world. I can call and get some names from him if you want. You can also go on their website and they probably have listed doctors in your area.

Kind of in the area,

I had the pleasure to have a green light laser procedure, between my DART radiation treatment and Brachytherapy.

Based on my experience I would recommend Dr Daniel Kaplon, urology treatment center, in Sarasota. Recommended to me by my RO.

as an aside, an example of how ******our current healthcare system is, there were two parts of the test to determine if this was medically necessary. The insurance wouldn't pay if the tests were performed on the same day, but would cover it, if part two were done one day later. 70 miles one way

I had the Green Light in 2009. Catheter for 24 hrs. Minor bleeding with urination for about two weeks. No problems. URO said only a small amount of tissue was removed, but made a big difference in ability to urinate. Good luck with your procedure.
