Post SRT Results

Hey Guys. Just received my second PSA result since completing SRT in late October. The first was 0.048 at the end of January and the second at the end of February is 0.037. So, looks like we have established a downward trend. Now just hoping and praying that trend continues. Does anyone know how low ultrasensitive testing measures to? X.XXX???

Thanks, Jay. I did 38 sessions IMRT five days a week. It went very quickly once I got the bladder timing down. I'm seeing my RO this Wednesday for the first time post SRT. Side effects for me were minimal so far. Had some bleeding the last couple of weeks and returned to what passes for normal after a couple of weeks post treatment. Good luck with yours, brother.

rcroller, Thanks for the heads up on the type of side effects you had with IMRT. Since this was my first day it gives me some hope that their minimal along the way.

Thanks for the info. I guess I'll have to check with my lab. Now that I've finally convinced my doc to do the uPSA he doesn't seem to know much about it since I'm his only patient that gets it. Interesting that with the old style he would have called my level undetectable but now he says if/when your PSA becomes undetectable... so I asked in the world of uPSA what is considered undetectable and he said I don't know since I've never used it since there is no clinical significance. I left it that it was significant to me so thanks for finally ordering it. Geeeze....
