Read all these posts so far. Why would anyone be anxious with a PSA well below the old standard of .10? I can't comprehend this at all. See people talking about .02, .03, even .014. If you have had treatment, and you are staying below .10. thank the heavens and be happy. If you need to worry, wait till the number is something to worry about. Life is too short to expend the energy on needless worry and concern.
Purg, it's all bout perspective. I can certainly understand, with all you've been through, why a PSA of .02 or .03, might be meaningless in your mind. And in the mind of anyone who's had a recurrence. At the same time, anyone who has been undetectable since initial treatment, with hopes of staying that way for life, can be traumatized, or at least bothered, by a small rise in PSA. It might be meaningless. Or it might be a Precursor to something life changing. There is no way to know. So I think anyone would understand, with that in mind, why some men are concerned when they lose their "<".
