In Baton Rouge area

At this time we have 23 guys confirmed to attend. 20 spouses also.

The Gals will have a day in New Orleans on Friday with Jazz River Boat Cruse.

Meals include

New Orleans PoBoys
BBQ Chicken
Crawfish Boil
Fried Fish with Shrimp Etouffee
Boudin, cracklings, Ham, Turkey, and Roast.
English Triful, Bread Pudding with Rum Sauce or White Chocolate Sauce.
And other treats.

Unfortunately Jess and I won't be able to make it this year due to personal family mattters . We are going to miss everyone , we always enjoy the gatherings and get a lot of out of it . The emotional
Support is pricelist .

Hope to see everyone @ Rochester in September!

18 wives!

That is a grand total of 42!

The menu has been set for the most part.

Activities are being arranged.

The frenzy has started at my house!

Going to be an exciting time.

I wish I could make one of these. Our trip to BR is next week and we can't make another trip so soon. All that food sounds gooood!

There will be TWO unobtainium Single Malts a friend got in duty free in Germany, plus some other rare bottles from the library. OK, I'll tempt you - Balvenie 12 and 16 year old TRIPLE casks.

I have 30 cigars (House of Cigars, organic tobacco, hand rolled), of several types, all mild / medium wrappers (just to confuse everyone). And if the Balvenie folks actually come through, proper (take home) glassware for the tasting.

As I will become painfully unemployed ("early retirement") in July, the future tastings may be trimmed down a bit, so I'm going out with a bang.

And the same rules apply - cigars for Saturday night tasting hour are on me. Extras or take-aways are $10 a stick contribution. Unless you won't be there Saturday night, in which case I've been known to grant an exception.

No charge for participating in the tasting. And you don't have to do the Scotch tasting to claim a cigar.

But I have a bottle of that Balvenie 16 Triple Cask going so I will be able to raise a glass and join you in spirit.

From the other side of the world, I hope you guys have a great time, and I somehow don't doubt that you will.

I'm sure there will be a bit of imbibing, so don't forget that for those who enjoy wine, Australia makes the best wine in the world - not that I am biased - but I do encourage you to try it.

Yes, too long Jeff. I've been thinking about it for a couple of years and think this is a good year to do it. Of course 142's scotch has nothing to do with it. Nor does your food. Nope. Nada.

Hey 142, the sweet smell of those cigars almost makes me wish that I still smoked. But I have never, ever tasted a three barrel scotch. Didn't even know they existed. I can hardly wait.

I wish that cmetalman would be there. Lots of fine people.
