Post catheter life

one small drop of blood can seem like a lot. You're still early in recovery - it takes time to clear up.

Guys are all over the map on this - some never have problems, some have bad problems. Likely you'll be in the middle.

Congrats on getting through the surgery. A few drops of blood in your urine is not uncommon, even a pinkish tinge is not unusual. That should clear in a matter of days. Having a good flow is what you want.

I hope you achieve good continence.

A little blood shouldn't be an issue but check with your MD if you are real worried.

Peagcu, it all sounds good. So far, you sound like one of the fortunate ones who is almost immediately continent.
Keep coming around and let us know how it's going. By the way...what was your diagnosis? and where did you get treated?

Sounds like they did everything right. Good to see someone else who got treated in STL. (BJC for me)

Halbert, I read about your journey. Good stuff. I guess it's because I don't have any cancer in my family that really most of the stuff didn't phase me that much. I basically looked online about survival rates for this type of cancer and realized even if I had it my odds were very good that I would go into my retirement okay. Like you though this is made me rethink how long I want to work. I've never been one of those guys where work was that important anyhow. I treasure the time I can spend with my wife alone somewhere else. We love to travel.

I read about you're a little event early that showed the ED might not be a problem. I had a partial, what I like to call, pee rection a couple of days after the catheter was removed upon awakening. I thought maybe I was imagining this, but I really believe that's what it was. The doctor has told me he doesn't even want me to think about an erection until he talks to me in July. I'll just leave that alone for now.

I did have a little blood drip when I was on the toilet this morning. A little bit of forcing still brings some blood. No biggie

Drinking enough to float. I guess just to keep it all going well I might as well drink when I get up during the night to urinate. Maybe they'll take care of the morning blood I get when I have my movement

We took off a bit early. We live 15 miles south of Belleville. Being working folks that would mean we get home well after 11 o'clock if we just stayed for the end. Go to a lot of games because we're partial season-ticket holders but seldom stay to the end of a week night game. I love Friday night games

Peagcu, I went back to work on day 20. I might have been fine if (a) I hadn't had to wear steel toe boots and (b) if I had been allowed to do exclusively desk work for the first week. As it was, I overdid it and wound up taking a few more days off from exhaustion.

I celebrated too soon. Got some dark blood today. No big shocker. I'm only 20 days past surgery.

Drink, drink, and drink some more.

Two urination and I'm back to clear. Got to get all the old scabs and **** out

I had blood up to a month following surgery. Usually after a BM. Cleared up in time. Hope your incontinence continues on the path your on. Much better then mine.

We are in a similar boat. My Catheter came out last Thursday (6/1). Although I didnt have blood so far , I dont have much of a flow. I am going through 3-4 diapers a day. Hope we can both get through this fast.

I feel I can only eat half my previous meal potions...my stomach gets filled up and start bloating.

How much walking are you doing? My doc says no lifting more than a gallon of milk for at least 4-6 weeks.
