If you go back to Baltimore....here's where my sister and her husband stayed for his adjuvant radiation...
homewoodsuites3.hilton.com/en/hotels/maryland/homewood-suites-by-hilton-baltimore-BALHWHW/index.htmlShe said it goes by faster than you'd think. It's in the center of the action. They'll give you a "John's Hopkins" rate...but ask for a rate even cheaper than that. They have one for longer stays. The ride to the hospital and back is free. They give you a good free breakfast but a light dinner.
All rooms have a kitchenette. The one they stayed in had a separate bedroom...so one can sleep while the other doesn't. The one bedrooms also have a pullout ... so you don't even have to sleep in the same room is you don't want to.
Also....you probably know about
the free accommodations that JH itself provides. She said it's nice as well. But less privacy....dorm like. with a common kitchen. Song probably told you about
that. (at least he knows about
it...and nice as it is...the atmosphere will also be very different)
My bro-in-law's wasn't a slam dunk. There were differences of opinion at JH as to which direction would be best for him. Dr. Song's opinion turned out...in the end...to be the correct opinion after all was said and done. (even though...as you've just learned....he is a man of few words).
Good luck to you in whatever direction you decide on...
David
