Every morning - boiled tea prepared with Tulsi leaves (10-12), mint leaves (5-10), curry leaves/sweet neem (10), 1 inch freshly grated ginger, some cinnamon powder, 2 tablespoon turmeric powder. Add some lemon and honey (organic honey sourced from a beehive close to our house).
Breakfast - a whole wheat roti with spices (turmeric powder, chilly powder, coriander powder) with Indian Masala Tea (half water, half milk)
Lunch time - Indian meal comprising subzi (vegetable cooked in groundnut oil), roti (made from whole wheat flour), dal/lentil curry and a cup of cooked white rice
Evening Snack - banana/apple/any seasonal fruit or a handful of nuts (either walnuts, almonds soaked overnight, cashew, dates), a glass of milk
Dinner time - broccoli almond soup, tomato beet carrot soup, mushroom soup, mix veg soup - followed by an indian meal comprising subzi (vegetable cooked in groundnut oil) and roti (made from whole wheat flour). At times indulge in some pizza or pasta made of semolina, durum wheat with spinach or pesto with some cheese sauce or some fried indian snack.
I have read some comments here on Vitamin E and selenium. our indian meals are predominately cooked in Groundnut oil - plus we add almonds to our broccoli soup and also consume nuts. Should we avoid eating groundnuts? and change our oil to sunflower oil?
