Update: Done w/ SBRT, 3 months of ADT to go.

I am on the G9 list.
Nothing showed up as spreading outside prostate in MRI and bone scan.

I had SBRT/CyberKnife that finished 26 May 2017.
The plan is 2 months ADT before and 6 months after. 3 more depressing months to go.

No side effects from the SBRT. zero. 5 days treatment.

The Eligard / ADT is uncomfortable.
I get very tired after mild exercise. Walking short distances.
No interest in sex at all.

One more Eligard injection that lasts 3 months. I hope that goes quickly.

Try to increase your walking. It might seem counter-intuitive, but more exercise can help the fatigue.

Hang in there - before you know it, this will just be a bad memory.

Glad to hear of your good results so far. HT is difficult, as I believe we've discussed. You're on a rather short course of it, and you should have a good recovery. It will be over before you know it!

I considered some of my HT side effects as an ongoing reminder that the hormone therapy was doing its job.

Thanks for posting your update Richard. I could probably search your old posts but curious where you did your SBRT, particularly if in NY and not at MSK.

Thanks for reporting in. Hang in there re the HT. Hopefully the time goes by fast and your testosterone bounces back quickly!

Good on ya Richard. Congrats. I finish mine up tomorrow but still have a year on ADT.

Michael T...i chose the triple play also. I hope my numbers are as impressive as yours

Notam,

I had CyberKnife at Winthrop Hospital in their Manhattan location.
66th St. & Amsterdam Avenue.
I would highly recommend them.

Dr. Haas, head of CyberKnife at Winthrop, said he could do the treatment either with or without the ADT.
If it was to be done, he recommended 2 months before CyberKnife and 6 months after.
I was Gleason 8 / Gleason 9. High risk. I thought it would be prudent to add the ADT.

The fatigue side effect, the past 2 months, were much worse than I had anticipated. I have 3 more months to go.
