I'm a retired process control engineer. I spent my working life in steel mills; data analysis, quality, process improvement, cost reduction, etc. My wife is a retired nurse and the best judge of people I know. We were both very impressed with Dr. Tendelcar's patience and care in addressing our questions and concerns. The other Dr's and staff at CCF were also excellent. No matter what treatment you select it will be a team effort so investigate the whole team. I'm only a data point of one but my side effects where almost nothing. I had some mild burning with urination that lasted about a week. My ejaculate is reduced; however, no ED and sex is the same and as enjoyable as prior to treatment. I was able to maintain my normal active life style including spinning (indoor cycling) at the YMCA of 60-80 miles/week throughout treatment. From the information I looked at my statistics suggest my cancer is more likely to be controlled than if I had surgery, LDBT or IMRT.
