Anybody here have Robert Meier of Swedish in Seattle do their SBRT or other treatment?

I haven't yet had the pleasure of meeting him, but I know of him by reputation. He was the lead investigator of the SBRT study that achieved 97% 5-yr biochemical recurrence-free survival in both low risk and intermediate risk patients.

Thanks TA. I am going to see him on 9/28 as a result of you posting earlier that he was the Doc in the Pac NW for SBRT. I am down to SBRT or RALP, which I have scheduled but may cancel. I really really am not happy about the urinary SE's of RP. Can't do seeds because of prostate size and can't do 40-50 treatments for various reasons.So..................... SBRT or RP.
I think I have it narrowed down to two great!!!!! Doctors. Robert Meier and William Ellis.

A large prostate does not necessarily rule out Brachy. Mine was 63cc at the beginning of treatment. With short term ADT and external beam, down to 29 prior to seeds. Pelvic arch interference is also a determining factor

Also look into tumors in the apex adding a layer of difficulty for surgical treatment

I would have gone to see him except i live in Canada and they charge about 40 g for patients out of country with no benefits ... steve.

I guess i could quickly marry a fine american lady, move to the states and get some good insurance?? All by Sept 28th. Think that could happen. ?? TA .. what do you think.
