I have never been a great sleeper, 5-6 hours is a great night. However, since starting Tamsulosin, I sleep 2 -3 hours. Anyone else have this experience? Denis

call your doctor. That's not normal. They may need to adjust your meds/dosage/something.

I did write my doc and he said to stop taking meds and we can discuss at next appointment. Denis

I have insomnia and had been using Elavil as a sleep aid. Elavil contributes to ED.

I learned that Trazadone is also effective to treat insomnia AND it contributes to healthy erections! In fact, I've read that before Viagra hit the market, Trazadone was used off label to treat ED. I take 100 mg each night. It even works better for my insomnia than Elavil. Ask your doctor.

Thanks, I cannot take any sleep meds. I need to figure out whats causing it. I also eliminated diet soda and all drinks with artificial sweetener. and started drinking green tea. I do not drink anything with caffeine after noon. Denis

I think green tea has caffeine,you might want to check it out
