How much longer is this going to last?

I had a "fusion biopsy" on 8/25. I knew I would have blood in semen after the procedure but here it is six weeks later and it's still there. Started out dark red, almost brown, now bright red. After the first biopsy in 2015, blood lasted a little more than a month. Had blood in semen before the second biopsy but PCP and uro were not concerned. Gave me meds, which did not work. Is there a longer recovery time with the fusion biopsy? Getting tired of seeing blood and can't get a good answer from my docs. Anyone have any suggestions or ideas what is causing this? Would hate to go back for more tests. P.S. Results were negative for both biopsies but still have a high PSA (11). Next blood test is scheduled for March, 2018 but will probably try to one sooner just to be sure everything is OK. Thanks for the help. Jack

The color is going in the wrong direction. It should start bright red from freshly cut blood vessels and turn brown as the blood dries up. Usually the nicked blood vessels heal themselves. But perhaps some trauma has caused scar tissue to dislodge. Perhaps you can ask your doctor to use ultrasound to see if he can locate a site of active bleeding; if not, and if your semen doesn't start to turn brown, maybe a CT or angiography.

I assume you are not taking aspirin or any other blood thinners.
