I'm about
6 months post-surgery. If I didn't work I would put my pads away. I can go through a light day at work without being incontinent. If I have a day like today, where I had to do quite a bit of heavy lifting, it's a different story. Is that about
the way it goes?
I truly think if I had a desk job I could just put the pads away

That certainly seems to be the norm for a lot of guys post-surgery. I was mostly continent right after surgery but had stress incontinence (and still do).

I pretty much I've only dealt with stress incontinence myself. the leaks are not as frequent and it takes more stress now. Some days I was wearing a pad and I'll swear there was more sweat in the pad than urine. I've been one pad a day for quite a while and I can't remember the last time I could actually smell urine in the pad when I took it off. I sweat quite a bit when I work and that is a sweaty area

After surgery I was 99% continent, two years later I had salvage radiation and now experience stress incontinence when I squat and pick up a heavy item like a large laser jet printer. Even then it isn't much of an issue and less than a milliliter is released.

I regularly deal with boxes that weigh over a hundred pounds. I don't lift them all the way up but I lift up one end and pivot them etc.
I've decided to just get rid of the pad. Pretty much found out that most of what was in the pad was sweat. I get home now and my underwear will have a sweat mark on it. No drips though. It's not like I'm drip free but I've had two minor occurrences the last couple of days and both of them were dried up before I even got home. I'm just being careful to try to empty my bladder before I do my big loading in the morning. The other time when I'll have a drip is when I try to forcefully pass gas. I'm going to have to quit doing that.

Maybe you should find some heavier weight underwear to absorb the little squirts.
