Hi Everyone,
My PSA went from 2.3 to 4.8 in 18 months and while my DRE has always been normal with an enlarged prostate, it’s time for a Bx. I have gathered from reading here that while not a walk in the park, it’s not terrible either. I have been seeing an experienced urologist for over 10 years so I feel comfortable with my Dr. Because of the rapid PSA rise I’m preparing for not so good news. If I’m wrong, then good for me.
Also, from everyone’s comments in other threads, I have somewhat of an idea of what to expect going forward and while I will have lots more to learn once I get a formal Diagnosis, you all have helped me realize there is lots to be hopeful about. I’d welcome shared experiences of anyone’s first Bx and follow up. Thanks.
