I had my 1 year PSA and other tests this week. PSA remains undetectable (<.01). The week of anxiety surrounding the blood draw and test results is over.
Good control, exertion leaks every once in a while but not major. I can deal with this.
I do have a small abdominal hernia forming at one of the incision sites, so i will likely deal with that before winter.
I did have thyroid cancer and surgery for removal in April. Working to get the thyroid medications all settled, but we are close. My energy levels are good. The cancer was detected early and was contained within my thyroid. I had one dose of radioactive iodine as a follow up and will get scans once a year.
Been a rough and challenging year after diagnosis and surgery, but the help and information from everyone here has made a real difference. Thanks to all.

Congratulations! Glad to here about
zeros. You had very challenging year behind you.
Your surgery was just 2 days before mine. I had today my follow up with urologist. Blood was taken to check PSA. Waiting on results.
If you don't mind me asking about
your erectile function recovery?

Best wishes...! I understand that thyroid meds can take a while to dial-in correctly.

Good news, Chris. I still get exertion leaks and occasional leaks while sleeping.

One minor setback - not on the cancer side but on total recovery. I developed a small hernia at the larger incision site, center of my abdomen. Had a short surgery last week to repair it and add a patch. Luckily my euro had told me this was a potential, so when the area started to get softer and tender i knew what was happening and addressed it before it was a major issue. A few weeks before i can lift more than 20 pounds, but other recovery is fine.
I believe this larger incision is where they actually pull the organ through for removal, so it is larger than the others.

We're you lifting things way to early to bring on the hernia or was the area week prior to surgery. Good to see it's sorted I had a hernia repair with mesh over 10 years ago in the groin area, occasionally when it's cold I get slight pain.

"Were you lifting things way to early to bring on the hernia or was the area week prior to surgery."
I followed all of my restrictions closely and so i don't think it was from early lifting. I had my catheter in for several weeks, so that helped my comply.
I don't think the area was weak prior.

Congrats on that PSA, Chris! No reason why you should not stay at that level in the future!
