You might want to see if an apron coil can be used, instead. Johns Hopkins stopped using the endorectal coils when they went to the 3T machines. The ERC's are EXTREMELY uncomfortable for the patients, and JH did not see a significant enough advantage in image quality to have their patients endure that ordeal.
