Steve,
The fact that someone referred you to a surgeon with your biopsy results is almost criminal. You need to start reading everything you can on (3+3=6) and 1 core positive. I would put off surgery for as long as you can. I had it 10 years ago and regret it every single day. No matter how good your surgeon is, the side effects will be a train wreck.
You need to get on an AS program and get your PCP to give you something to calm your nerves and help you start to think rationally. Think about this.....a few years ago the urologist community started to debate each other about that they the type of PCA you have should not even be called cancer. That's how benign (3+3=6) is. Infact, there are thousands of men walking around with it right now and don't know it due to the fact nobody has biopsied them. A lot will never know it and die of something else....
Try really hard not to rush into anything.....Tall Allen is exactly right.....there are a lot of good AS programs around....start reading about them....Johns Hopkins has a very good one...
