Hello All,

I'm just posting the bouncy journey of my partner who had HDR mono (UCLA) in 2015 (June). I'm putting this out there for any comments/insights and for those who might be bouncing and are curious to see others on the same ride. smile

Treatment 6/2015
9/22/15 - 1.96
12/30/15 - 2.19
3/21/16 - 2.59
6/24/16 - 2.43
9/29/16 - 3.09
1/3/17 - 3.57 (getting seriously nervous here)
4/17/17 - 1.36 (happy!)
8/1/17 - 1.56
11/1/17 - 2.02 (okay, but not so happy)
2/8/18 - 1.47 (glad to see it going down again!)

It's nerve-racking. I would not have chosen radiation if I knew then what I know now about bounces.

Hi Mary-

Well, it's in the right direction, and the see-saw pattern obviously shows that cancer is not building up. Remember - more bounces and longer time to nadir are associated with better outcomes.

Hi Allen!

Actually, I'm feeling pretty darn good about it. smile I was steeling myself for another looong bounce, so seeing it come down some is a great feeling! Eyes on the prize and in it for the long haul. Except for the "joy ride" that comes along with bouncing around, I know that J is super happy having chosen HDR. Very minimal side effects -- life is good.

Hope you are doing super well. Give me "homework" any time!

Hi Mary, your post is timely for me and I can now sympathize.
I had SBRT last April with a pre treatment psa of 8.32. In June it fell to 4.02 and then fell further to 2.65 in September. But today I got my latest result of 3.13.
Like you and your partner, I was prepared and had read about the likelihood of bounces, but let's be real...it feels better when the number goes lower. I am, however, jealous of your 'trend' smile
Great idea for a thread and I hope others will share.

I'm here, too, bouncing along with you folks. As TA said, I feel that as long as the trend is downward, let it take its time and detours on the way to nadir.
