My AUS surgery 4/10

Hi guys
I have been thinking about AUS surgery for about a year. I have watched the surgery on
YouTube and look like it would be a ruff surgery. I have had the RP surgery and radiation four
Years ago. Knowing radiation could cause problems and might not have good results, I had the
Surgery. My uro has 35 years experience. I asked him how many AUS surgery he has done, he
lost count years ago. He didn’t cut me in the two place like on the YouTube surgery’s I watched.
He cut me in the sack right below the penis horizontally and place the pump and pressure reservoir in
the sack. Place the cuff away from where the prostate was located and where the radiation treatments
Hit. He used surgical glue to close the cut. I am swollen up some what, be haven’t had any pain to
amount to anything. Activation in six week. Doc said I should have excellent results. Will post then.

I'm glad to hear everything went well for you despite being post-RT. I found the surgery to be far more brutal than I had been led to believe... and I had done a lot of research before taking the plunge.

The odds are not always in your favor.

Still, life with the AUS is far better than total incontinence. Good luck in your recovery and device activation.

Have mine done on July 5th. Been incontinent since surgery on 1-10-17. Hope we both have good , dry, results
