Losartan and PCa

My BP has been running a bit high for a few months (systole often 140s or 150s), so a cardiologist just put me on Losartan, very low dose, 25mg. I've dug up some sources (including an HW thread from 2012) that suggest a mild anti-PCa action from the drug. Anyone know anything about that?

So far, after 5 days, no change in my BP, but I've read it takes several weeks to reach full effectiveness. Mild nausea the first night, no SEs since then.

Losartan takes awhile to be effective. I've been on it for years - five years before my PC DX, so it's anti-PC action didn't do much for me.

It's one of the first line BP meds the doctors hand out. I had to try a few different meds before my BP was controlled. Losartan has the fewest side effects of any of the drugs I've been on. I ended up needing to take Losartan twice a day for the best effect. Try taking your BP about an hour after you've taken it - that should be close to max effect.

I've been taking Losartan 50mg for 20 years. Didn't prevent me from getting PCa, but may be thwarting its progress.

I've been taking Losartan for about 10-12 years now. No SE's, and my BP is now around 120/70.But still got PC.
I never read about any connection. But who knows.

I'm on 100MG of Losartan ... before when I used to get errections, I found that this drug actually helped blood flow to my penis ...

I started it before my PCa diagnosis...

I find it to be a much better BP medication than anything else I've taken...

Two months ago I put myself on Lasartan and my physician again with my selection. The reason I selected is based on the link below. It is an interesting comparison of each angiotensin receptor blocker (ARB) including Losartan.

Ive been on Losartan for about nine months now without any adverse side effects.
