1St PSA after IMRT w/ ADT

Got my blood work done last week. 1st one after IMRT that ended late Jan 2018. PSA was <0.1, testosterone was <3.0. Concerned about the testosterone. Is that a normal reading for where I'm at? Still feeling like crap. No energy, hot flashes, no libido. It all sucks. Will see my URO in 2 weeks.

the ADT is doing it's job. That's what I'd expect.

and yes, it makes you feel like crap. You'll feel better as the ADT wears off.

It took me about 6 mo after my last 3 mo shot of lupron for my T level to get back to some what normal. Now at 16 mo past my last shot it is 403 and I feel like I used to. I was only on it for 6 mo.
I felt all the same things you are going thru so just hang in there it will get better.

Harley, go over on the ADT and SRT thread there's a bunch of guys with lots of personal experiences that you can gather info from. undetectable and no testosterone I assume your on Lupron and it's working great!!!

Not to be the bearer of bad news, but I was on Eligard for 28 mo. I had my last shot almost 3 years ago and my Testosterone is only back up the 35, yes 35. MO is not too concerned, says it it still killing cancer cells. Am still having some hot flashes and have a lot of 'CRS'. They don't want to supplement, at least not yet. No cancer, that was what we were after. Good luck hope yours comes back sooner. Everyone is different.

I do think Uncle has a legitimate complaint - more than one of us should have responded to his original post and has earned the right to a little crankiness.

of course the HT is doing it's job all the way around.

How much longer are you on the HT?

UH.....I had the 6 mo. Lupron shot...took a year for the PSA to get to a realistic number ....testos. too.....was nice to finally get rid of the hot flashes !! hang in ....David

My SBRT was in August. I had 2 three month Lupron injection prior. I also had LDR brachy in July. At my first PSA, my reading was <.05 and has remained there since. (<.05 is the lowest their equipment tests to). My T level was at 9 I believe and is now lower. As far as feeling like crap and the other side effects you mentioned, I didn't see weight gain, or insomnia or joint pain. darn...........you're doing better than I am cause I got your's and the extras. Part of the treatment I guess. My Lupron ends October this year I hope. Then it's the long wait for everything to settle in. You are doing fine like everyone said.

Harley, that is exactly where I was and exactly what you want for PSA and T at this stage. Great results so far.

Yes, the ADT is no fun, but there are ways to cope with no-T. How long do you plan to be on ADT?

I got my Trelstar injection late OCT 2017. The RO said it was a 6 month injection, whatever that means. No additional injections planned at this time.
