Yikes! That is only 10 weeks away! I'd better get busy!
In case you're new and don't know, GFMPH stands for Good For Men's Prostate Health and after attending an event you will agree it certainly is.

It's great time! And a chance to meet some of the guys you've been talking to all these months/years. A conversation with Peter Disabelard and 142 can change your life. smile
I guarantee you will be smiling the whole time.
Put it on your calendar. I send specifics later.

I expect to be there!

There will be a smaller Scotch & whiskey / cigar event, but there will be one! The new single malt unobtainiums are already set aside. with a box of a nice mild cigar. For those who don't know, they are hand made in a friend's shop of organic, hand selected leaves.

And no, we don't have moderators at GFMPH.

Talking to me will change your life? Umm, not sure I can guarantee that one. On the other hand, on a recent cruise I did meet a young lady who had a brand new camera and I showed her how to change her battery. So that's something.

I should say at this point that while talking to me or to 142 is unlikely to change your life, lives do get changed at GFMPH gatherings. Prostate cancer is an isolating thing for many guys -- it's a problem that worries the heck out of them, and one that they can't talk about -- it's embarrassing and they know that nobody they meet will really relate. A GFMPH gathering gives those guys a chance to hang out and have fun with a lot of other guys who no longer have prostates, or who have zapped prostates, or who control their troublesome prostates with drugs, or who have never had prostates at all. (That last group of "guys" being our ladies auxiliary.)

I'll be there. We always have a heck of a time and new guys are always welcome. If you can make it to the Rochester area the last weekend in September 142 and I will be glad to talk with you. Look for us sitting by the fire after supper. I'm the big guy who always seems to be on the smoky side of the fire... no matter where I sit.

My wife and I are planning to be there! Fortunately, it's close enough for us to drive from Michigan. We plan to get there around supper time on Thursday.

Really looking forward to seeing everyone, especially since we missed the spring event at Cajun Jeff's.

This is such a great group: a ton of fun, laughter, wayyyy too much to eat, and camaraderie unlike anything you'll find anywhere else. Actually meeting some of the people you converse with on this forum is really cool.

I'll be coming. It's less certain about Mrs. Halbert. I'll be driving up from the Philadelphia area, so if there are any Philly specialties I can bring, just ask. I doubt if I could bring Cheese Steaks, however--I don't think they'd keep well for the trip.

I'll definitely be there...hope to arrive and stay with the host a week before...I will be bringing some fresh fish wrapped in tomorrows newspapers...oh no worries...it stinks good...um...should I add a lol or let em sweat it out...OK LOL...no worries...I only wear one hat...and it does not fit large gatherings...2 to 3 fine...beyond that...the hat binds...oh not me...others...sad and glad...never alone...at the same time cry smilewinkgrin

you go I'll go. that's 2 to 3. already checked the air fare. 7 and change roundtrip from HI. (a man of your means can afford that).

Just checked back in on this thread...Good Lord PeterD...and don't let this go to your head...from listening to you over the past 8-9 years... even with clever and funny self deprecation...I saw you as a gravity dent...eating bon bons...that's a great pic...a great hat...a great pose..."You oughta be in pictures...you shouda been a star" or words to that effect...Next time we are visiting our son in Chapel Hill..we'll get together...We had lunch there a couple of times in this café in Cary...it was in a small kine strip mall or something...with 3 or 4 outside table as well as seating inside...Some kind of Italian guy and wife4 ran it ..you ordered at the front no servers big glass case wid all dakine...pizza/Italian kine stuff..but other stuff salads and stuff you wouldn't expect...de-frickenlicious...the owner was very gregarious nice portions...Zack{my son} went there a lot and there was a coffee shop near by where he would hang out and wifi his way to his doctorate...4-5 years ago

IT that's a great price...are you piloting it Yourself I could be your traffic watch while climbing thu and descending into Indian territory...( ya know apache...commanche...Cherokee...Navaho..heck even a semino...whats that all about Mr Piper}actually no can do...I would need my shrink to explain it...she is gorgeous( im kidding...Im Kidding)...one of these days tho who knows...stuff happen..

I've looked for you when I was on your island but, since I have zero idea what you look like, and since the persona you adopt here on HealingWell makes it hard to guess, I was mostly picking out men who looked about your age and wondering... That fellow sitting on the beach by his longboard, checking out the young girls and pretending he's about to get in the water? The guy who looks like a retired banker sitting on the upstairs patio of the bar watching a tourist kid feed bits of french fries to a gecko? The gentleman sitting under the banyan tree with the bottle of Night Train?
