I mentioned in another post that while I post here far less often due to other issues, I still manage to lurk here. I would say I peruse HW quickly maybe 2 or 3 times a day.
Just curious how often you guys get on here?

I'll have to go by an 'average' of 3-4 myself. Through the week I'm on more simply due to access to a computer I don't typically have on the weekends. Since I have many distractions through the week, I'll be here more often, but not for as long. After all, I do have a business to tend to. I'm here today to do some end of the month book work. Then there are some posts I like to keep a closer watch on, so that will have me visiting more frequently.
Most thankful I have this place as a go-to.

Just to add to my lurking:

HW is one of my bookmarks. Sometimes I get on and peruse topics and read any of interest.
But many times I get on and just quickly see if there are any new posts/responses. That can be a 20-second lurk.

Of course, if I post some new topics, like I just did, I might get on more frequently to see if I got any responses.

more than 4 if i'm around but if i'm on the road I seldom browse the internet. but that's my habit now. in the past I have gone weeks at a time without browsing HW. so the best answer is: it depends (and no i'm not incontinent ;^))

Probably 2-3 times per day, usually just scan the first page for anything interesting. Every once in a while on late late at night, I found myself to be the only poster online, so I posted a very controversial post, replied to scold myself, declared I was leaving this site, then deleted the entire post without anyone knowing!
Also, I just figured out my average post per day, I logged in 6 years 5 months ago, about 1,957 days divided by 768 posts/replies is about 0.4 per day or 2.7 posts per week....about 24,632 more and I'll catch up to Purgatory!

Over time, my participation habits have evolved.

When I was first diagnosed, I was here many times a day. I did research, posted questions, reviewed the responses, and just tried to absorb it all as much and as soon as I could.

Now that I am nearly 2 years post-treatment, I check in and review posts at least daily. Sometimes I respond to a post, sometimes I just read. If I am sitting in front of a computer for any reason, I check in 3 or 4 times a day, just to see what's happening. If I am on the road, I rarely check in or lurk.

The HW/PCa site is one of my bookmarks, and will probably stay that way. I have a similar site for heart issues, and I have frequented it (and financially contributed to it) for over 15 years. I am just that way. When the folks at a particular site help me that much, I tend to stay around to try to pay it forward.

I'm fairly new here just DX last July, So I'm here a lot and have learned a lot...
I don't always respond to a post, But I do mentally....If that makes since....LOL.

I've been here over 5 years now, which is a little mind-blowing. Even now, I probably pop in here from 3-5 times a day, less on weekends. Mostly I look at the first page to see if there are new people, or a new topic that looks interesting. Of particular interest are any new G9/10 folks, or anyone asking about treatments or side effects with whom I may be able to share some experiences.

On rare occasions I'll do a site search for some specific topic, but that's not very often.

I also would have said 2-3 times, but I rounded up to 3-4. But it's rather variable depending on how busy I am and how much I'm in procrastination mode. I can go several days without looking in and I can be rather obsessive at times as well. I always wonder about guys that are on more than one PCa board. Personally, I don't want to open that can of worms for myself.

I stop by once a day as I make my rounds of about 20 online forums...most of which are computer based.

But I spend more time at www.Nextdoor.com then all the other sites combined... You should check it out. It's a Private social media site for just you and your neighbors.

The fun part is that I Admin/Moderate most of these sites and get a check almost large enough to pay my mortgage. It's going to stink when the checks stop...because the computer sites are almost dead.

I visit once first thing a.m. and once in evening. Also, sometimes around lunch, so let's say about 2 or 3 times daily.

I first look to see if there is a relatively new user with a standard question or topic I can contribute to. This is the simple stuff and takes load off more experienced posters that may need to reserve their time/resources for the really difficult or serious cases that come up. Just part of being a good board member...

Sometimes I see a question that is amenable to my six years worth of saved links and research -- I can therefore put something out there for a user that maybe some other member would struggle a while to come up with in a reasonable time. Remember, some new posters here (and their partners) are really hurting psychologically, and relieving this is, in a way, just as important as handling their physical stuff. Be decent, and karma will come back around...

Finally, I scan for postings related to low uPSA rises post-RALP--like why uPSA might become detectable but just kinda sit at a low reading for years -- if I ever see a poster that can explain (or report their docs' explanations) of reasons why uPSA might behave like this, well, then I will have hit the mother lode...

I log on in the morning, then once or twice during the work day, then multiple times in the even9ng. Sometimes i dont even Log off, just checking every once in a while.

I suspect the poll results are skewed because people may be reluctant to admit to an electronic addiction, or maybe my problem is just worse than I’m willing to admit. 🙂

I am in the 1-2 times per day. I look to see if new info is available, say hi to new guys, and just look at what you all are dealing with. It is certainly less than the first few months when I was in the decision mode. Denis

I check multiple times a day. I try not to post because I have become so anti-surgery it’s not healthy for me to share.

Q: how often do you view HW in a day?

A: Almost never on weekends and almost never evenings/nights, when I have other more important things to do. Almost never when traveling. Several times per day normal weekdays while at work, particularly if I have provided a particularly insightful & thought-provoking comment/reply...which is pretty much every day.
