Well, First one is done 44 to go....
My first was today, because on Fri, they have maintenance to do....For now on it's M-F....
They gave me a card to scan when I come in, After scan I go to patient waiting room, I do not have to change into gown, Get on table, Lower pants a little and fry that beast....
I felt a little light headed and a little weird....In and out in 15 minutes, And I didn't miss much Church.
And so tomorrow morning will be #2..
It's a funny feeling, that slight dizziness, funkiness, whatever after a radiation session. Some of it may be from laying really still for 10 minutes or so, but some is from the radiation. My RO said it may really be due to the radiation dose. You can't directly feel radiation at the levels used for therapy, but your body can sense that something happened. It's not a profound effect, but I too definitely felt "funny" after a radiation session.
It's a marathon, but it becomes quite routine after a while. Do tell your RO if you develop any issues after a couple of weeks. It can happen, and they have ways to help with most symptoms. Here's hoping your radiation therapy is
really boring!
