Arbiterone acetate (1000mg) didnt worked for my father two yearz bk. Since two yearz he was on PSMA lutetium therapy and nw after 5 cycles PSA started increasing. Doctor advised using arbiterone acetate rechallenge (this time zytiga) previously we used generic drug. And doctor advised 250mg dosage with low fat meal instead of 1000mg. Please gve ur inputs

First of all there were no generics for Zytiga until recently. A rechallenge is probably a good way to go. You'll find out quickly if it works. Re: the dosage, there are some small trials that have shown 1 250 mg pill with food is good. Part of the problem is how do you get everyone in a trial to eat the exact same thing? The correct name of the drug is abiraterone. If you enter that in the search box, many threads will pop up. Hopefully, there will be some useful info among those. And you can do the same with Zytiga. There's even a 'special' thread on this forum called Zytiga: Our collective experience

I had liver damage with zytiga, so will not do that again, but another round of Xtandi is both possible and probable, as taxotere eventually failed, and there is not a positive response from jevtana. If either worked in the past, they have some hope of working again after IV chemo. I've seen articles to that end, but have not kept the details, just the key point.
My onco has that on our "next steps" list. The biggest issue is cost under Medicare Part D. But we will figure it out.

My fathers PSA came to be 44, last month it was 23. We started zytiga on 1st aprïl. I am so upset to see the results. This is first time in five years we are facing such a shoot up of psa. Last cycle of psma lutetium therapy scheduled on 17 april.
Diagnosd adenocarcinoma prostate 2014 gleason 9. Psa 8
Surgery dne
Psa 8 Bone mets
Zolodox psa 0.01
2016 psa 4
Taxotere 12 cycles psa 0.4
2018 psa 28
Arbiterone acetate indian generic drug of zytiga tried no change.
Psma lutetium therapy startd 2018
Psa 2 after 1cycle
5th cycle given on october 2018 psa 3
Psa checkd feb 2019: 3
March psa 22
April psa 44
Zytiga started 250mg dose on 1st april
Psma lutetium therapy scheduled on 17 april (last cycle )
