Fourth year anniversary of my first HDR Brachytherapy treatment. Living my life exactly the same as before I was diagnosed.

Thanks to the people at this site who helped me become educated about my condition and how to deal with it, and thanks to the people at UCLA who treated me.

Treatment side effects are few.

Minor issue at time with urgency or difficulty. Will use Rapaflo once in awhile

Still function ok without ED drugs. There was a short period of time a number of months after treatment when I wasn't sure if that would be the case but I got past that.

All in all, very pleased so far.

So glad to hear this! My SEs are pretty much the same as you...I pop a Rapaflo every 4-5 days or so. Congrats!

Good to hear I am 1-year post hDR and PSA is 1.0 which is similar to what yours was at 1 year. I do need ed meds but they work great. Congrats.

Just remembered another side effect.

Starting about 6 months to a year after treatment eating certain foods makes me poop like crazy the next day. I'm assuming it's a side effect as I didn't have this before. Have to limit beans, brussels sprouts, tofu.
