I try to eat healthy. try to watch helping size. try to balance the food to get all the suggested different things they say we should eat. With this being said I absolutely despise reports like this for the simple reasons that I bet more than 50% of the population could not afford to follow this diet. Go to the grocery store and buy fruits and vegetables and a healthy meat choice for a family of 4 or more. There's no way an average family can afford it and both parents are working to try to make ends meat so no time to invest in good homemade cooking habits. It's a shame but that's the reality of the world now, how you gonna have a garden in your apartment or condo? I'm trying to find the bread ezekiel 4:3 as it looks pretty darn healthy but man at 15 dollars a loaf? Let's come up with a diet from the things that are available at the local grocery store that are affordable by the average family and not terribly time consuming so when the kids are running a mile a minute trying to do all the things young people do now in after school activities they can get somewhat of a good nourishing meal, and not live on a fast food diet. What really irks me now is that big money has gotten behind this new trend of trying to push this on the american public! For instance a bag of spinach is now 5 dollars versus just 2 dollars a couple of years ago, makes you want to scream! or go to one of the fast food joints and get a whole meal for 5 dollars for the seniors. lol

Some good points. Personally, I feel that the occasional fast along with an attempt to keep the net carbs relatively low most of the time, maybe sometimes really low, will take care of most of the dietary problems. Keep it simple, but to each his own.
