Well, i guess Cialis has come off patent, as my most recent prescription filled at Express scripts was a generic. What surprised me, is the price. My last branded Cialis cost me $375 for a 90 day supply of 5 mg 1 x daily. The generic is.........$274. I would have thought it would come down much more.

My guess is that there are not a lot of generic companies yet making the stuff, but as more come online and offer the product, prices will plummet.

Ouch! $3/day...down from $4/day.

My generic tadalafil orders are conveniently delivered to my door via US Postal Service for $0.25/day.

Try GoodRX with written prescription from doctor, should be around $60-$70 at places like Costco, Wal-Mart, etc for 90 day supply.

Does Cialis work or help if still on Lupron and have no testosterone? It used to work great for me before PC treatment.

Different body biologies have different results. There have been men here at HWPC (no, I don't have the exact statistics; I'll leave that legwork to you if needed) have reported success with PDE-5 inhibitors (Cialis, Viagra, etc) while on ADT...others have reported failure, although reading between the lines of their posts it appeared to the casual observer that they just stopped trying versus a PDE-5 failure. The pills will give you the blood flow...and apparently for some men, having the blood flow helps generate enough "interest" to overcome the reduction (not elimination) of sexual desire by ADT. PDE-5i's do not work without initial sexual arousal, so keep in mind that ya gotta give it some effort!

My insurance is covering the 5mg daily generic. My monthly copay is 13.00. I get a 10mg dissolvable tablet from a compounding pharmacy as a booster when I need it. Those I pay for directly. I think 65 bucks for 25.

Seems to still be working for me even with radiation treatment. 12 sessions to go 23 completed.

Will Cialis work for a man on ADT? ... It happens sometimes... but not very often. I dunno the exact stats but it is something like one guy in 20.

PDE5i drugs like Cialis (Viagra, Levitra, etc.) don't give a man an erection. They just keep an erection from going away as quickly. How it works, somewhat simplified, is that when a man is sexually aroused the erectile nerves stimulate cells in the lining of the blood vessels in the penis to release Nitric Oxide which allows blood to accumulate causing an erection. There is an enzyme called phosphodiesterase 5 that turns the nitric oxide release back off. Levitra blocks that enzyme so the activation lasts longer. The problem with Cialis and ADT is that it's difficult for men on ADT to become aroused in the first place so the erectile nerves never fire and there is no reaction for the Cialis to prolong.

Still, worth trying. The fact that you are interested enough to ask the question may be a good sign.

Looks like that has been a dramatic fall in the price of Cialis since Pratoman looked. Giant Pharmacy is the cheapest for a 1 month supply now at $24.21 followed by ShopRite at $28.71

The rest - CVS/Target etc have it at $95

I just paid $200 for 200 generic 20mg pills. I take half a pill daily. so that's a 400 day supply.

I just filled my first prescription for 5mg generic Cialis. My urologist handed me a GoodRx discount card the day they removed my catheter. You don't need a card, just go to the GoodRx website and see who in your area honors it and at what cost. Both Publix and Kroger had it for under $28 per 30-day supply.

Frankly, 90 days for 5MG isn't too bad. I HAD been paying about 200$ for net 600 MG overall, and thought that was pretty good.

If this is GENERIC, it's too much.

Don't assume that you will always get the best price for expensive drugs by checking the "your cost" amount on your insurance company's online formulary price guide. There is some sort of a wall of impenetrable bullshit that protects the prices for brand name drugs there. I have no idea what causes it but I suspect is has something to do with lawyers. Often the insurance co-pay for newly-available generics will be several times the price you can get by shopping around using GoodRx. I call this the "Not Knowing the Secret Handshake" tax. It works like this:
Customer: I have this prescription from my doctor.
Local Pharmacist: (clicks a few buttons on register) That will be seventeen bazillion dollars for a month's supply.
Customer: Did you use my insurance?
Local Pharmacist: (a few more buttons) Sorry, my bad. That's seven bazillion dollars for the month.
Customer: I have this "coupon" from GoodRx...
Local Pharmacist: Oh, you're an online comparison shopper. Let me see (clicks a button). That'll be thirteen dollars and seventy-five cents.

I checked with GoodRx and the price for a 90 day supply of generic Cialis 5mg in my area seems to be around $55. That price is offered at the pharmacies of several local grocery store chains. The mainstream drug stores' prices (even with a GoodRx coupon) are four times that.

Often on the insurance Rx schemes, things can be convoluted.

Example - My Medicare Part D charges MORE for the "generic" epipen than for the brand name. Why? Well, the generic came out after the formulary was built, so has no discounts. Didn't exist at the time. Next year, they say.

I found the same thing Peter, when i went to the link provided. Stop and Shop is $55. I would have to go to a stop and shop in another neighborhood as my local S&S doesnt have a pharmacy.

I got 30 generic 100 mg Viagra for $22 at Kroger with GoodRX. My next script will be $47 for 90. 😁

Well, that Goodrx really works. After pricing generic Cialis through my insurance, and getting quoted $245, for 90 days supply, I used a goodrx coupon and picked it up today , paid $46, without using insurance.
