ADT kicking butt after a pause

Been offline the last 10 days, on a Baltics cruise, 4 more days to go but got connectivity in port so taking the opportunity although it’s not easy posting from my phone.

6 months after my last 3 month lupron shot. Before I left, on July 26th, I had about3 weeks where the hot flashes had clearly slowed down, almost stopped, as T started to rise. I thought I was out of the woods.

Now for the last 10 days or so, they’ve not only started up again but increased in frequency and intensity, more than ever. I can almost set my clock to it, they come just about every hour. For the first time I feel like it’s affecting my QOL (in a small way). It also has me wondering if my T has crashed back to castrate levels . Last Testosterone test was 68 two months ago

Only thing that’s changed is I’m more active, being on the cruise and doing a lot of shore excursions , and probably eating more as well

Anybody experienced this after treatment and after seeing T start to rise??

My hot flashes slowly wore off--much more slowly than I had hoped for--but I did not get a recurrence. I did find that when I had my hot flashes it was somewhat situational and it seemed like there were certain triggers. (Not that I remember so much what those triggers were any more.) Not sure if there's something about your trip that might be doing that for you--perhaps the time change?

At any rate, I'm sorry to hear this and I hope it's not messing up your trip too much.

Hot flashes. I am still getting them but I thought it was because we are in a very warm spell of summer so sweat is standard.When in our winter cycle last year , and most of our day time is outside, hot flashes were not that common.

Maybe it's all that late night dancing on the decks you are up to. Still three weeks behind you but got great news from my blood test yesterday. PSA= >.04, T= 140. When it gets to 2000, "clear the decks".

Keep active. It has always been my saviour.

Sorry to hear the news Prato. I have not experienced any hot flashes in quite some time. I will be posting an update next week after I see my Uro.

BLackjack, per your question about the cruise...
I did an “ocean Cruise” type ship, Royal Caribbean Brilliance of the seas, so not for you. The ship is one of the older cruise ships in the fleet, built in 2002 (updated since) so it is on the “smaller” side by today’s standards, holding 2000 passengers and I think 900 crew. Wasn’t in love with the way the ship was run, but that’s another story.
I have heard great things about the Viking River cruises from friends, I don’t think it’s for us, we need things like casinos and multiple dance spots and shows at night to keep us busy.

As far as the Baltics, I think if you are into history, and/or Art / Architecture, it’s a great trip. I am not much of a sightseeing fan, and not much into the subjects I mentioned. But I did enjoy the trip, glad I did it, and it was a photo opportunity, which is a hobby I am trying to work 0n. (F8/Ed, you’ll be hearing from me.) I took over 1000 pictures

Back to blackjack... the ports we visited, besides Amsterdam which is where we sailed from) were Skagen (Denmark), (very rural, beach resort, ancient church), and the northern tip if Denmark where I stood on a beach where the North Sea meets the Baltic Sea), Tallin (Estonia Capital City), St. Petersburg, Russia (amazing city, we visited the Hermitage, Church of the Spilt Blood, St Isaacs Cathedral, all breathtaking), Helsinki, Stockholm,, and Copenhagen, where we toured the Jewish points of interest in the city, very interesting learning about the ****’s passive takeover of the city that later turned very aggressive. Many Jews were hidden by citizens of Copenhagen, if they could not get on the ferries to Helsinki for escape, in time).
And Amsterdam, where we spent 3 days before the cruise, in addition to today, (Sunday), has its own unique amusements of course.
All in all it was a memorable trip and I highly recommend it especially if one is into history, Art etc.

Yes, Rob, i was talking to one of the staff and he told me, that in the winter months, Brilliance home port is Tampa. This for me was a 13 day cruise, a bit long, if i do more cruising it will likely be more on the order of 7-10 days max. Cruising can be fun, but i feel like we are being nickeled and dimed alot, with drink packages, upselling the dinners, etc.
