My PSA test came back today at < 0.02. The first time in over four years since diagnosis my PSA has gone undetectable. I've never been big on spiking the ball - there's plenty of guys not doing as well - but it's been a long time coming, so I'll do it this one time. Now the ADT waiting game begins. Lol π
BTW, I have noticed no remarkable side-effects from ADT. Maybe six months isn't long enough to predict the long term side-effects, but I remain hopeful things will stay as they are.
Have a drink on me.

Mattam, This is excellent news. You and I have shared in the past our desire to delay ADT as long as prudent. Glad you are having such a great result, with negligible SE. I project I will be joining you in the ADT chorus pretty soon. One question. Did you have any trouble getting approval of Xtandi at the outset? Best wishes.

Thanks Larry and NL.
NL,
No trouble getting the Xtandi going at all. I am not certain if Xtandi is officially approved for metastatic hormone sensitive guys or not. Based on something I saw on another forum it may still only be approved for crmPCa. If that is true, perhaps insurance figures either approval is imminent, or I would be on Zytiga otherwise, so what's the difference. I don't know how that insurance stuff works and I'm too lazy too look it up.
Anyway, there wasn't any suggestion from the MO that approval could be a problem, and it wasn't.
At my MO visit this week he said that whatever side-effects I'm experiencing (or not experiencing) after six months into the therapy will hold up for the duration. I will be grateful if that's how it turns out.
I hope you have good results and a reasonable experience with ADT.
PS, I could be wrong but I believe the "metastatic" designation means that mets have been visualized on some type of scan. That has never been the case for me. I've had four bone/CT scans showing nothing, but I clearly have Mets somewhere.

Thanks GG. Looks like you've had a lot going for the last year, but things appear to be going well.
Good luck to you going forward!
