Lots of ladies lose interest as they age, my wife included. Bummer.
As I understand it, Peyronie's is caused by the accumulation of scar tissue. That scar tissue occurs in the spongiform bodies that fill with blood to give a normal erection. The needle can cause scar tissue to form and accumulate, but so can non - use. If you do not keep the spongiform bodies flexible with regular erections scar tissue begins to form within about
6 weeks of no erections.
This is why it is highly recommended that RP patients get and regularly use a penis pump. The recommendation is 15 minutes a day, every day, to make up for the nightly erections you no longer get when the nerves have been removed. "If you don't use it, you will lose it."
I have been getting by with 20 minutes every other day for a couple of years and an occasional week off, like when hiking in the bush and camping out. Otherwise, it is part of my regular workout routine. I remain capable of getting an erection with the pump and maintaining it with 2 rings. I have no Peyronie's or scar tissue almost 7 years after non-nerve sparing RP.
Fun factoid: if Peyronie's is not dealt with, it can progress into "penile ossification" which means that sections of your spongiform bodies will become bone. That bend will become much more pronounced and it will not be fun. I suggest getting and using a pump if you care about
this. Insurance paid for mine as it is a "necessary durable medical device".
