Update on HBOT treatment for Bladder Radiation Cystitus

The short and sweet of it, is that after 60 HBOT sessions, the bleeding in my bladder is no longer an issue and I still have my bladder. I wore a SP cath for the entire time and still have it while I daily plug it off and work on regaining my control of urinating. Improvement is happening slowly but surely. The SP allows my to use the Night bag and not have to worry about getting up in the middle of the night. I work on the retraining during the day and sleep peacefully at night. I keep the bladder I have had for 72 years and get good sleep at night. Life doesn't get much better than that.

Michael T, yes I had vision changes. about half way through I had an exam and got new glasses. Now things are changing again. I don't need them at all. Just waiting for more changes at this time. I used to wear tri-focals. The literature said it may take 3-6 months for changes to finish. So far so good.

First, congratulations Sonny. I did 25 sessions of HBOT. I have not bled in over 9 months. I had this situation with my glasses. They told me it would probably affect my vision and told me not to go get my prescription changed because it would normalize after about a month. For me, it had the opposite effect. It corrected my vision. I didn't nee my glasses at all except for distance. I still had to use readers, but my bifocal and distance lenses were completely out of focus for a while. It did normalize after about a month.
